Recently we had an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Michał Gabruk from Jagiellonian University on visualizing the results of the research he has been working on for the last 4 years. The project is titled "Directed Molecular Evolution and Machine Learning in Research on Light-Dependent Protochlorophyllide Oxidoreductase".
We combined science and art by using Protein Data Bank (PDB) files provided to us by Dr. Gabruk and transforming them with help of Blender's Geometry Nodes. This process ensured that every atom's position in the video perfectly aligns with the university's research findings while also being aesthetically pleasing and satisfying to watch.
Working with Jagiellonian University (tho challenging) was a true pleasure. We hope for more opportunities to collaborate with and support the science community.
